Reading
Students with reading disabilities can get an extended loan period of three weeks for textbooks. Contact your unit and arrange an appointment. You can also bring a recommendation for individual study arrangements from your university.
Celia audiobooks and e-books
Accessibility Library Celia provides free works of fiction and non-fiction as well as textbooks in the form of audiobooks, Braille and/or e-books for anyone who finds reading an ordinary book challenging. Contact your unit and make an appointment to register as a customer. Registration can be done at the library, by phone or remotely.
Datero
The Ostrobothnia-based Datero is a non-governmental organisation that offers solutions to problems with reading and writing. They provide free training, guidance sessions and information about digital reading tools.
Mobility
We are happy to help you find and retrieve books. Book transfers between units are free of charge for people with disabilities. In the Tritonia Finna search service, you can renew loans, reserve books and pay overdue fees.
Accessibility in Tritonia (Vaasa)
- The self-service lending machines and search computers on the first floor are on adjustable tables.
- There is an elevator for customers.
- There are two adjustable tables in the quiet study room on the second floor.
- The accessible toilet is located on the first floor close to the entrance facing the Tervahovi building.
- All entrance doors open automatically.
